Serena Jameka Williams was born on September 26, 1981, Saginaw Michigan, U.S. She was first pronounced a professional tennis player on October 1995. Her parents wanted her to wait until she was sixteen to participate in professional tournaments. In 1995 Just after she turned fourteen she planned to make her professional debut but was denied by the WTA due to the age-eligibility restrictions of the organization. Serena has won 14 Grand Slam doubles titles, all with her sister Venus, and the pair are unbeaten in Grand Slam doubles finals.
