Oprah Winfrey was born in Kosciusko, Mississippi, United States, on January 29,1954. She is a 65 year old black women that has battled for women's rights for years. She has won many awards and even has a talk show. When She was born her parents split up and sent her to live with her grandma, which lived on a farm. A few years later her mother wanted her back home with her, so she moved into her mothers house, the place where Oprah's mother lived was very poor and not safe. Later on in life Oprah's father wanted her to live with him, so Oprah moved away to her dads house. Her father lived in an area where it wasn't poor or unsafe. Oprah Winfrey started to speak about women's rights at 8 years old, her mother eventually wanted her back. She was 8 years old when she was sexually abused by a few people in her family. She moved back to her dads when she was 9 years old so she was safer. When she got older she started a talk show where she would talk about her life and talk about things that were going on in the world, she would always end her show with a quote. "Anything you can imagine you can create",  "Surround yourself with people that are only going to take you higher", "Turn your wounds into wisdom", "If you want to accomplish the goals of your life you have to begin with the heart". I think Oprah Winfrey is very inspirational and very brave.
